Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and execute new and/or modified tooling requirements through the wire EDM machine
Maximize efficiency on wire burns, maximizing up-time and correcting waste
Program, troubleshoot and maintain wire EDM equipment
Job order reporting for material and labor
Identify, recommend and implementing new machining processes and technologies
Maintain organized work area as tour ready
Ensure a safe working environment, both equipment and processes
Fulfill other job-related duties as assigned by leadership and as may be necessary to carry out the responsibility of this position
Qualification
Required
A skilled machinist with over five years of machine shop experience
Proficient in Fanuc 4-axis wire EDM and equivalent systems
Experienced in CAM programming (MasterCAM preferred)
Print reading
Process documentation
Quality control
Manufacturing math
Strong problem solver with excellent communication across engineering, tool shop, production, and planning teams
A self-motivated, organized worker with the ability to learn quickly
Use handheld tools effectively
Adapt to fast-paced environments while meeting deadlines
Ability to work on their feet for the entirety of a shift
Standing, bending, walking, lifting and carrying to fulfill tool shop requirements
Capacity to lift material or tooling weighing up to 50 lbs
Physical ability to push/cart material weighing up to 1,800 lbs
