Sales Manager
Events DC is seeking a proactive Sales Manager responsible for generating and booking business for the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The role involves managing the full sales cycle and building relationships to secure bookings.

Responsibilities
Generating, qualifying, and booking short-term, localized, internally sourced business for the Walter E. Washington Convention Center
Owning the full sales cycle for assigned opportunities from prospecting and outreach through negotiation, contracting, and internal handoff
Spending significant time out of the office, actively selling the Convention Center and the Events DC brand
Conducting site inspections, attending local and regional events, and building relationships that convert directly into bookings
Qualification
Required
Proactive, outbound sales professional
Responsible for generating, qualifying, and booking short-term, localized, internally sourced business
Regionally focused on booking opportunities within 24 months
Owns the full sales cycle for assigned opportunities from prospecting and outreach through negotiation, contracting, and internal handoff
Expected to spend significant time out of the office, actively selling the Convention Center and the Events DC brand
Conducting site inspections
Attending local and regional events
Building relationships that convert directly into bookings
Reports to the Senior Director of Sales
Works closely with internal Events DC departments to ensure successful execution
