Responsibilities
Manage cases from filing through trial
Conduct extensive legal research associated with cases, as well as draft legal documents such as briefs, pleadings and discovery requests
Communicate with clients, partners and other members of the practice group regarding case developments
Attend and defend depositions, as well as appear at court hearings
Qualification
Required
3-15 years of litigation experience, specifically insurance defense litigation
Experience in handling complex litigation matters in state and federal courts
Strong legal research, drafting, and document review skills
Proficiency in providing legal advice and client support
Must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Must be licensed to practice in New York
Able to work productively both independently and in a collaborative environment
Organized, detail-oriented, and self-starter
Preferred
Bar admission to the State of New Jersey is a plus
