Sr. Electronic Technician
Sekai Electronics, Inc. is a leading provider of ruggedized video cameras, modules and systems serving the aerospace and defense industries worldwide. They are searching for a Sr. Electronic Technician to join their production team in Irvine, responsible for electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of video capture and processing products.

Responsibilities
Ability to perform both soldering and mechanical assembly proficiently along with electronic test
Knowledge of video systems and cameras from technical, electrical and mechanical aspects with strong ability to troubleshoot circuits and interpret schematics highly preferred
Knowledge of video formats including NTSC, PAL, HD, circuits and interfaces highly preferred
Knowledge of analog, video and digital circuits
Must be able to read and interpret schematic diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings and procedures
Possess excellent mechanical, electronics troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
Ability to use and implement software for both Processors and FPGAs
Ability to troubleshoot to the component level
Must have knowledge of electronic component identification and function
Fabricates, tests and troubleshoots production systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and prototypes following verbal direction, manufacturing orders, and engineering drawings
Utilizes IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, and IPC J-STD-001 guidelines to standardize workmanship and product reliability standards in the industry
Have high expectation to produce quality assemblies with zero defects, and follow strict manufacturing assembly instructions and procedures, Engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematic
Familiar with ISO 9001:2008 or AS9100 standards
Strong knowledge of test equipment including: oscilloscope, ohmmeter, frequency counter, pattern generator, vector scope, and video waveform monitors

Associate degree in Electronics and minimum 5 - 7 years in a relevant technical field
Strong knowledge in electronic circuit theory
Adherence to control/safety are necessary elements of the day-to-day role
Video experience 3-5 years minimum
Attention to details, strong problem solving and organizational skills
Excellent written, verbal communication and computer skills
At least 5-8 years of experience in electro-mechanical systems assembly, testing, repair and troubleshooting. Excellent soldering skills
Must be proficient with production tasks such as mechanical and electronic assembly soldering and electronic circuits, etc
Knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO-9001 and AS-9100 preferred
Experience with Defense Electronics and Systems highly desired
Possession of US Citizenship required (with documentation)
Preferred
Knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO-9001 and AS-9100 preferred
Preferred completion of IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIS certification
Preferred completion of soldering certification in IPC-A-610 and/or IPC J-STD-001
Experience with Defense Electronics and Systems highly desired
