Responsibilities
Coordinate export shipments while working with drivers and operations staff to create efficient pickup and delivery schedules
Maintain product integrity and cold chain compliance throughout the export process
Verify all shipment paperwork and documentation
Prepare Master Air Way Bills for export shipments
Book shipments as required prior to export
File SED documentation for applicable shipments
Monitor shipment notes and respond to gateway requests promptly
Track and replenish packaging materials and gel packs
Ensure gel packs are properly conditioned and stored
Monitor shipment manifests, flight monitors, dispatch screens, and post-flight reports
Replenish shipments pending export in the gateway office
Monitor live animal shipments to ensure proper care
Coordinate and maintain the airport dispatch board, highlighting special delivery instructions
Monitor drivers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
Maintain cold chain integrity for shipments on FDA hold
Answer phones and assist drivers with directions as needed
Report complaints and operational issues to management immediately
Qualification
Required
Air Import/Export experience preferred
Cold chain logistics experience strongly preferred
Background in import/export operations
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to lift 25–70 lbs
Morning shift availability (6:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
Weekend availability required
Professional demeanor with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience with WorldSTAR screens and World Courier systems
Strong understanding of Cold Chain Management principles
General knowledge of airport operations and the tri-state area
