Responsibilities
Maintains and organizes litigation drive to ensure case documents are easily and promptly accessible to all team members
Coordinates, reviews and maintains project status tracking charts for matters, including any tasks and deliverable requirements
Assists in all phases of discovery, including fact gathering and analysis of documents, document productions, and preparing for depositions and witness interviews
Conducts factual research to support attorney projects
Performs cite checking and proofreading
Coordinates court and agency filings
Communicates with clients, witnesses, and other outside parties as requested or approved by attorneys
Assists attorneys with preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and subpoenas
Assists with trial preparation, including maintenance of case calendars, case files, and trial notebooks
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in performing traditional, litigation paralegal functions
Ability to perform quality control analysis and report issues with data
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with attorneys, other staff members and external entities
Ability to be a proactive self-starter who understands the details within a much larger context
Demonstrates extreme attention to detail
Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
Flexibility/availability to work overtime as needed
Preferred
Experience in the IP/T and/or health care area desirable
Experience preparing for and/or attending trial is strongly preferred
Experience with e-discovery platforms (Relativity, Opus2)
