Software Engineer II, Minecraft Online

Responsibilities
Defining initiatives that impact our games or services, working with cross-functional teams and product managers
Ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine the user requirements for a scenario
Building partnerships with developers, program managers, and designers
Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, and initiates actions to restore the system/product/service when appropriate
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C# and JavaScript
OR equivalent experience
Preferred
Experience building RESTful APIs, utilizing design patterns to ensure code is robust, offloads processing when appropriate and that are designed to scale
Experience with implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), utilizing Terraform or equivalent declarative language
Developing and coordinating features using Microsoft Azure compute, storage, cache, VMs, containers, subnetting, auth, CDNs or utilizing a comparable cloud-based web service provider
Understanding of test- and performance-driven methodology to build services that ensure our services are secure, robust and handle extremely high scale
Experience writing code in C# (preferred) and/or other related languages
