The role requires strong technical expertise to set up machines for complex jobs and produce high-precision parts to exact specifications.

Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes to perform machining operations including facing, turning, drilling, boring, and threading
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances
Install and align tools, fixtures, and workpieces; adjust machine offsets as required
Monitor machine performance and tooling wear; make minor program edits (G/M code) as needed
Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, thread gauges, and other metrology tools
Maintain tolerances within ±0.0002"
Complete required documentation including inspection reports, tool logs, and work orders
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with 5S and OSHA standards
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supervisory teams to resolve technical or quality issues
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 years of CNC lathe operating experience (Fanuc or Haas controls preferred)
Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds and speeds, and machining best practices
Ability to read complex blueprints and understand GD&T
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
Technical training or machining certification preferred
Experience with live tooling and multi-axis lathes preferred
CAD/CAM experience is a plus but not required
