Responsibilities
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams delivering Google Cloud Platform-based data solutions
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Coach the team on Agile and Scrum best practices, ensuring adherence to frameworks and continuous improvement
Identify and remove impediments impacting team productivity and sprint commitments
Partner with Product Owners to maintain a well-groomed backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Track and report Agile metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, and delivery progress using Jira dashboards and reports
Manage Agile artifacts and documentation in Jira and Confluence, ensuring transparency and traceability
Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams including data engineering, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders
Support release planning, dependency management, and cross-team coordination
Qualification
Required
Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for Agile planning, tracking, and documentation
Proven experience supporting data engineering or analytics teams
Fair understanding of Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) data services, including: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow / Dataproc, Pub/Sub
Experience managing Agile delivery for cloud-based data platforms and pipelines
Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile principles, and Lean practices
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master)
Google Cloud Platform certification (Associate Cloud Engineer)
Experience working in scaled Agile environments (SAFe)
Prior exposure to data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, or analytics platforms
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices in cloud environments
