Responsibilities
Independently work with a senior attorney or partner on a team to manage caseload
Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
Regularly handle and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
Conduct legal research, handle discovery and analyze medical and employment records
Frequently handle court appearances, depositions and meetings
Communicate with clients and provide status reports
Qualification
Required
Admitted to practice law in the State of California - no exceptions
Strong oral and analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Team player with great attitude and willingness to learn is essential
Preferred
Experience in insurance defense litigation and general familiarity with carrier billing and reporting guidelines is preferred
1-5 years of civil defense litigation experience preferred
