Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

Develop and execute regional sales and marketing strategies
Own sales plans and forecasts for assigned regional accounts; meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profitability targets
Manage and grow strategic relationships with major regional retailers, distributors, and channel partners involved in private-label and branded programs
Identify and cultivate key customer contacts, including buyers, category managers, supply chain, finance, and regional leadership teams
Lead customer meetings and business reviews, presenting category insights, program performance, pricing proposals, and new product or platform opportunities
Negotiate pricing, promotional programs, and contract terms in alignment with internal finance, marketing, and leadership guidance
Monitor competitive landscape, pricing architecture, market trends, and customer/category performance to inform regional strategic recommendations
Maintain accurate regional reporting, including budgets, forecasts, expense reports, sales pipelines, pricing documentation, and account program tracking
Participate in regional and national trade shows to expand brand presence and deepen customer and industry relationships

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred
5–7+ years of Retail or Private Label Sales experience managing regional or multi-state accounts (FMCG preferred)
Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office)
Proven track record as a hunter–builder capable of expanding existing business and securing new opportunities
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex customer programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outside sales: 5 years (Required)
Phoenix, AZ (Required)
Willingness to travel: 75% (Required)
