Responsibilities
Write complex SQL queries against DB2 (AS400/iSeries) tables to extract historical operational data
Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines (using Python, SQL, or ETL tools) to move data from on-premise legacy systems into Google BigQuery
Design clean, efficient data models in the cloud that transform cryptic legacy field names (e.g., CUST01, AMT99) into business-friendly schemas
Design interactive dashboards using Looker Studio and Power BI
Translate raw data into actionable insights for the business
Reconcile data between the source (AS400) and the destination (Cloud) to ensure 100% accuracy during migration and reporting
Qualification
Required
Strong proficiency in DB2 SQL and familiarity with AS400/iSeries file structures
Expert-level SQL skills in a cloud environment (BigQuery preferred, or Snowflake/Redshift)
Hands-on experience building data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
Proven experience building dashboards in Looker Studio or Power BI
Ability to explain technical data constraints to non-technical business stakeholders
Preferred
Experience in Utilities or regulated industries
Basic understanding of Python for scripting automation
