New GradSouthern States LLC is the largest switch manufacturer of high voltage disconnect switches in the world. They are seeking a motivated and technically adept Intern/Co-op to assist the Power Systems Solutions Division in various electrical engineering projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities
Investigate and troubleshoot problems
Design and optimize hardware and software of power electronic equipment
Perform component and system level testing including the development of test plans and reports
Function as project manager by writing and implementing projects
Purchase components and equipment
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering
Must have verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees
Strong Mathematical skills
Adept with Microsoft Office
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret simple electrical schematics
Preferred
Preferred focus on Power Engineering
Familiarity with basic electrical engineering concepts
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
CAD design software (Solidworks and/or AutoCAD preferred)
Working knowledge of basic electrical tools including multi-meters and basic electrical hand tools
