Responsibilities
Provide first-line support by troubleshooting and resolving help desk tickets related to user issues and system break fixes
Develop, test, and implement applications using COBOL/400, CL, DDS, and IBM DB2/SQL on the AS400 platform
Contribute to software enhancement projects and assist in transitioning systems from AS400 to .NET environments
Support periodic operational tasks, including file uploads/downloads and year-end financial rollovers
Document existing processes to aid software conversion efforts and ensure smooth process flows
Collaborate with Business Analysts and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement effective solutions
Participate in support of transitional efforts, ensuring seamless migration and integration
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in AS400 software development
Extensive experience with COBOL/400, CL, DDS, and IBM DB2/SQL
At least 5 years as a Business Analyst, with a solid understanding of business processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Visio (minimum 3 years)
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities
Action-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving
Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
Preferred
Bonus experience: Agile methodologies, Peoplesoft or other financial systems, PeopleSoft development tools, .NET, Java, or PHP in web environments
