Electronics Mechanic
The National Park Service is responsible for preserving the natural and cultural resources of the United States. They are seeking an Electronics Mechanic to perform the operation, installation, repair, modification, and maintenance of electronic systems in various settings, including historic and modern buildings and open park areas.

Responsibilities
Performs all preventative maintenance, operational checks, repair, layout, installation, troubleshooting, tracing, locating defects, and modification on all new and existing electronic systems park wide
Incumbent must be able to appropriately apply the applicable standards, codes, and regulations, to select the correct materials and methods for installation, maintenance, repair, modification, or upgrade of covered systems
Plans and lays out the routing, placement, type and size of devices, fixtures, wire, etc
Establishes and maintains an extensive supply of parts, sensors, panels, wiring, etc. in order to facilitate maintenance of the different intrusion alarm systems and the intrusion two-way radio reporting system Park-wide
Responsible for performing initial acceptance testing of new fire alarm systems and all other systems certification testing required on an annual, biannual, or longer bases
Provides and maintains a supply of replacement radio parts (i.e. batteries, battery chargers, antenna's, etc.)

Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication
Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males
Direct Deposit: Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program
Incidental Driver's License: You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties
Uniform: You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards
Government Charge Card: You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority
