The ideal candidate will assist with planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects related to bridges, including inspection, load rating, and design of new and rehabilitated structures.

Responsibilities
Participates in the design of new bridges as well as bridges to be rehabilitated
Participate in the production of project plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates
Be involved in all project aspects including inspection/load-rating/design, site/field visits during construction, shop drawing review, and be able to work independently
Efficiently produce quality deliverables while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
Ability to supervise and mentor entry level staff and be responsible for entry level staff job tasks
Ability to provide QA/QC on design calculations, design plans, inspection report, load rating calculations and reports etc
Qualification
Required
BS or MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
5 or more years of Bridge Design, Bridge Rehabilitation Design, Inspection, and Load Rating experience
Professional Engineer License (Louisiana)
Experience working with complex software such as MDX, MIDAS, LUSAS, AASHTOWare, Bentley Bridge Design Software, LARSA, etc
Experience using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents
Working knowledge of MicroStation
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
