Junior Employment Counsel
Legal.io is a leading tech company seeking a Junior Employment Counsel for a 3-month contract dedicated to supporting redundancy exercises. The role focuses on managing redundancies and addressing performance management issues while contributing to broader project work.

Responsibilities
Manage and execute redundancy exercises efficiently, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Provide strategic advice on performance management issues, supporting HR and management teams to mitigate risks
Develop and maintain legal playbooks and guidelines to streamline redundancy and performance management processes
Collaborate with internal teams to keep litigation and billing trackers up to date, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
Work closely with legal operations to enhance legal and administrative processes within the organization
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
4+ years of experience in employment law, with a strong focus on redundancy and performance management issues
Proven ability to manage and implement redundancy exercises in a compliant and efficient manner
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR and legal operations
Preferred
Experience in developing legal playbooks and managing legal tracking systems
