VP - Hospice Learning & Development

The role involves overseeing the design and delivery of training programs for hospice sales teams to drive growth and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales training strategy aligned with organizational goals
Partner with executive leadership, operations, and compliance to integrate clinical, regulatory, and sales best practices
Create onboarding programs for new sales liaisons and managers
Build advanced training modules covering territory management, referral development, objection handling, and value-based selling
Ensure all content reflects current Medicare/Medicaid regulations and hospice industry standards
Implement ride-along coaching models for sales managers and liaisons
Establish competency benchmarks and measurable outcomes for sales performance
Use KPIs (referral conversions, admissions, territory penetration, and relationship mapping) to assess program effectiveness
Regularly review data to adjust training initiatives
Work with marketing to ensure consistent messaging
Liaise with compliance officers to ensure all sales practices meet legal and ethical standards
Leads team to provide in-field orientation of business development team members, collaborating with the BD leadership team to deliver a seamless integration process for Account Executives
Crafts and conducts customized field training programs, fosters best practices and continuous learning among Business Development team
Generates real-time coaching documentation, offering immediate guidance and actionable feedback
Works closely with the BD leadership team to synthesize field insights into innovative learning solutions
Provides BD leadership with coaching feedback to aid in the ongoing development of Account Executives
Implements a dynamic learning model that emphasizes knowledge acquisition, retention, and timely refreshers
Maintains a current knowledge of industry healthcare trends, regulatory updates, and advancements in hospice care, adapting training content accordingly
Measures the effectiveness of the training and coaching provided and implements a robust analytics framework including performance metrics, engagement scores, and market growth analysis
Provides regular, data-driven updates to leadership, highlighting training progress and Liaison performance metrics
Completes administrative tasks and expense reports in a timely manner

Required

High School Diploma required
5-10 years of experience in related healthcare position
Experience in designing, developing and delivering effective sales training programs, both in person and virtually, is essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for delivering engaging presentation, training materials, and providing constructive feedback
A strong understanding of sales processes, techniques, and best practices is necessary to effectively train and guide sales professionals
Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, TEAMs, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to prioritize workload and ensures that all projects are completed by deadlines

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree preferred
Team lead or management experience preferred
Hospice and or Home Health Background
