Stroke Coordinator - Stroke Center Weekend Option (F/T Days)
Mercy is seeking a Stroke Coordinator to deliver specialized nursing care to stroke patients. This role involves providing personalized support, ensuring continuity of care, and educating patients and families while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities
Deliver specialized nursing care to stroke patients
Provide personalized support to patients entering and exiting the healthcare system following ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes
Offer clinical expertise for patient care
Ensure continuity of care
Educate patients and families
Foster collaboration among the multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Qualification
Required
Graduate from a school of nursing is required
1 year experience in acute care
Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in state of practice is required
Annual stroke education hours and competencies
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50lbs on a regular basis
Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in nursing
Neurological care experience preferred
Stroke certifications preferred (SCRN)
