Law Practice
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload from intake and case evaluation through discovery, motions practice, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
Conduct thorough client interviews, workplace investigations (on behalf of plaintiffs), and legal research to build strong claims
Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions and briefs
Take and defend depositions, including of plaintiffs, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses
Collaborate closely with partners on strategy for complex litigation
Stay current on evolving California and federal employment laws to provide aggressive, creative advocacy for clients
Qualification
Required
JD from an accredited law school and active membership in the California State Bar
4-7 years of relevant employment law experience
Strong litigation background in employment disputes, including experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for clients and courts
Proven ability to manage cases independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
Deep commitment to employee advocacy and ethical representation of workers
