Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing and managing assigned brand/territory’s P&L and Balance Sheet
Prepares and creates journal entries with supporting schedules to substantiate
Prepares bank reconciliations and supporting schedules
Plays a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures
Analyzes variances in the Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts
Prepares special reports for Director of Accounting
Assists with assessment and implementation of internal controls, including risk identification and prevention
Prepares and submits sales tax returns for assigned brand/territory
Maintains and reconciles fixed asset schedules
Provides assistance during year-end bank audit
Maintains and reconciles monthly balance sheet accounts as assigned
Prepares and analyzes monthly prepaid amortization schedule
Ability to work outside normal business hours during month-end and year-end audits based on business needs
Qualification
Required
Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting
1+ years hands on accounting experience preferred
Ability to work outside normal business hours during month-end and year-end audits based on business needs
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Advanced math skills: ability to calculate figures, amounts, and percentages, and apply concepts of mathematics relating to financial calculations
Must have initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to maintain highly confidential information
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with all disciplines and levels
Resourceful with exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills, ability to troubleshoot with keen attention to detail
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing demands with a strong sense of urgency
Preferred
1+ years hands on accounting experience preferred
Public Accounting experience or CPA preferred
NetSuite experience preferred
