Responsibilities
Work with internal and external organizations to identify data requirements and available data sources
Translate business problems into data science solutions by rapid prototyping and utilizing insurance domain knowledge
Data analysis, visualization, model development, and deployment using Python and AWS while meeting regulatory and privacy requirements
Develop and manage tools and libraries that are reusable across the company
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computational Linguistics, or Computer Science
3+ years of direct experience in telematics, IoT, or mobility
3+ years of experience applying machine learning in an insurance or regulated environment
Experience operationalizing models via APIs and ML Ops pipelines
Experience building solutions in cloud-based data platforms (AWS)
Experience implementing solutions using statistical techniques and machine learning, including deep learning
Advanced hands-on experience with SQL
Experience with geospatial data and tools
Experience with machine learning deployment, such as containerization and CI/CD
Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling, and data science principles
Working knowledge of telematics or IoT and their application to risk and behavioral analysis
Understanding of insurance fundamentals, including pricing, claims, and regulatory considerations
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business problems/questions into data-driven solutions
Ability to work effectively with large, complex, and ambiguous datasets in fast-moving environments
Solid proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries (TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.)
Ability to continuously learn and apply emerging AI techniques and industry best practices
