Responsibilities
Perform electrical engineering and design assignments under the guidance and mentorship of senior staff electrical engineers
Support for new and retrofit electrical and instrumentation & control systems including preparation of electrical diagrams, cable and panel schedules, electrical site plans, facility electrical power and lighting plans, schematic control diagrams, and electrical equipment and materials specifications
Involved in performing detailed system calculations, drawing production, project specification editing, and will perform assignments using standard engineering techniques and procedures
Conduct field investigations and condition assessments, make construction observations, and assist in startup and commissioning of new and modified systems
Participate in portions of the engineering work for a major project, or several smaller but complex projects within the specific discipline
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration
Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
Master's degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an Electrical emphasis
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering consulting firm is strongly preferred
Healthcare or higher education project experience is strongly preferred
Experience with some or all the following is beneficial: electrical devices and circuits, control schematics, electrical diagrams, electrical systems theory
Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, and familiarity or willingness to learn electrical design software
Candidates living near the Denver, Colorado area are preferred
EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of 'Coordinator' and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
