Health Service Manager
Cedars of Marin is a provider of person-centered day programs and residential opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. They are seeking a Health Service Manager for their Residential Program to support the medical needs of residents while overseeing a team and ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities
Display caring, professionalism, excellent communication skills and sensitivity as you work closely with other staff to support the health, and address the medical needs of residents
Have experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities and understand the special health care conditions of adults with developmental disabilities, such as dementia
Oversee medical and medication administration records and systems
Manage a team of 3 staff members
Accompany residents to appointments
Serve as a liaison for residents, staff, families, regulatory agencies and health care providers
Demonstrate strength in leadership, management, and organization
Assess, develop and maintain departmental systems that ensure smooth and accurate operations
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, including emergencies, and to calmly problem-solve
Be proficient in MS Office and databases
Demonstrate excellent communication skills with individuals who interact in various ways, both verbally and non-verbally
Have experience in hiring, managing, and evaluating staff
Willingness to be on-call for emergencies
Qualification

Medical background, skills and a working knowledge of healthcare terminology
Proficient in the use of email and the ability to use a database
Must communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
A clean California driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving, and a willingness to drive a passenger van
The ability to pass a pre-hire screening including background check with the FBI and DOJ, and a pre-employment physical, including TB test
CPR and First Aid certifications (or the willingness to acquire both)
Preferred
Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferred
A desire to help others achieve their full potential
An upbeat, positive attitude and good sense of humor are very helpful!
