Responsibilities
Partner with teams across the Player Platform organization to solve challenging technical problems
Design, build, and operate microservices for managing virtual assets and progression systems within Riot’s games
Work with teams of experts across the company to design, prototype, build, and ship new features
Help to ensure that the team is constantly executing with excellence
Be part of a rotational on-call schedule for live product and internal customer support
Work with technical and non-technical customers to understand their requirements and design solutions that fit their needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant professional experience
2+ years of hands-on programming experiences
Willingness and desire to learn how to build and operate highly scalable services in Java, Kotlin, and/or GoLang
Familiarity with distributed system architectures and with maintaining large scale cloud services
Preferred
Professional experience with Java based services
Experience with storage technologies such as MySQL, Amazon Aurora, etc
Understand networking - HTTP down to the network layer (TCP/IP, routing, etc)
Familiarity with Cloud Platform providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure
