Engineer III

Citizens Energy Group is seeking an Engineer III to join their Plant engineering department, which is responsible for engineering in water production plants and wastewater treatment. The successful candidate will apply advanced engineering techniques to complex problems and may provide technical guidance or supervision over engineering staff on various projects.

Responsibilities

Assists in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards. Provides technical guidance regarding projects and disciplines
Applies knowledge and complies with Citizens Quality Program. May be responsible for ensuring compliance with Citizens Quality Program. Provides related guidance and direction to others. Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts
Prepares complex engineering deliverables for significant or multiple projects. Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection. Oversees collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work. Prepares complex engineering calculations. Independently applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis problems and methods
Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects
Assists with identifying key client interests and drivers and may determine key clients in some instances. Communicates client interests and drivers to project team and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns. May offer other services to clients. Provides support to business development or pursuit activities
Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Engineering DegreeProfessional Engineer licenseEngineering design knowledgeMicrosoft Office proficiencyOracle databases proficiencyUtility systems knowledge

Required

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from either an ABET accredited program or a recognized accredited program in their home country, or sufficient education acceptable by management
5 years of related experience or 4 years of Citizens experience
Valid driver's license in the United States, or alternate approved by management. State of Indiana driver's license required within 30 days of first day of employment
Must have a safe driving record including no history of serious traffic violations, accidents, suspensions/revocations, or DUI/DWI convictions within the last three years

Preferred

Indiana Professional Engineer license or other recognized certification
Advanced knowledge of engineering design and applicable guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline. Intermediate level ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned
Proficiency in computer software to include Microsoft Office applications, Oracle databases, and appropriate design applications. Detailed understanding of utility systems, and other infrastructure projects at Citizens. Ability to work in office and field environment
