Responsibilities
Designs and implements scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions to support enterprise-wide analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives
Builds reliable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of healthcare data from sources such as EHRs, clinical systems, research databases, and external feeds
Develops and optimizes ETL/ELT workflows using cloud-native tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Fabric
Deploys scalable data solutions on platforms such as Azure and Databricks
Prepares clean, well-labeled, and accessible datasets to support analytics, agentic AI, and machine learning use cases
Enables self-service analytics and enterprise reporting by integrating curated datasets with tools like Power BI
Enforces governance and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) using Unity Catalog for data discovery, access control, and lineage
Monitors and tunes pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and storage systems for reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency
Partners with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver aligned data solutions
Stays current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, cloud platforms, and tools like Microsoft Fabric
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED Required
8 years or more minimum experience in Computer Science/Information Systems with data warehouse design experience and 5 years in a data engineer role Required
Excellent teamwork/communication/customer service skills
Strong knowledge of SQL
