Responsibilities
Program CNC machines using Autodesk Fusion 360 (milling, turning, mill/turn, horizontals)
Build and maintain a detailed tooling and workholding database
Design efficient, automation-ready toolpaths and reusable programming templates
Create clear setup sheets and documentation operators can easily follow
Partner with the Plant Manager to reduce setup times and optimize workflow
Coordinate with the Quality Manager to align tolerances, inspection points, and process documentation
Evaluate processes for lights-out machining potential and propose automation improvements
Help transition RM&T from tribal knowledge to standardized, documented systems
Qualification
Required
5+ years CNC machining experience
3+ years CAD/CAM experience (Fusion 360 strongly preferred)
Experience operating or programming mill/turn and horizontal machines
Solid understanding of fixtures, tooling selection, and process planning
Strong computer skills and digital organization ability
Preferred
Experience with automation or lights-out machining
Building reusable programming templates
Familiarity with probing cycles, tool monitoring, and in-process verification
Experience transitioning a shop from manual processes to standardized digital systems
