Responsibilities

Uses technical expertise and Six Sigma/Lean Management tools to work with suppliers to resolve systemic performance issues that impact Woodward from a quality and/or delivery standpoint
Perform Supplier Health Assessments to identify risk and work collaboratively with the supplier to implement initiatives designed to reduce risk by strengthening capabilities
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support effective supplier performance improvement
Provides training and mentorship to team members and suppliers to strengthen understanding of company requirements
Conducts other assessments as required, such as capacity assessments, to validate supplier capabilities to support rate breaks and/or additional business opportunities
Evaluates supplier performance and develops strategies for long-term improvement and alignment with company objectives
Designs and executes process optimization plans to enhance supplier efficiency and product quality
Leads risk assessment and mitigation strategies to prevent supply chain disruptions
Implements strategic supplier development initiatives to improve capabilities and achieve business goals
Manages and resolves complex, high-impact supplier challenges with minimal supervision

Required

4-year bachelor's degree AND 5+ years of equivalent experience for Level II
4-year bachelor's degree AND 7+ years of equivalent experience for Level III
Casting, Machining, and/or Electronics knowledge
Continuous Improvement/Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing: Experience with Kaizen events and using problem solving tools to optimize manufacturing operations
Aerospace experience
Strong technical problem-solving and data analysis capabilities
Skilled in supplier relationship management and process improvement
Proficient in project management initiatives
Effective communication in straightforward situations with diverse stakeholders
Advanced supplier relationship management and negotiation abilities for Level III
Expertise in risk assessment, mitigation, and strategic decision-making for Level III
Proficient in analyzing complex data sets to identify trends and root causes for Level III
Skilled in driving continuous improvement and developing long-term supplier strategies for Level III
Strong leadership and ability to mentor teams and influence supplier operations for Level III
Effective communication in complex, high-stakes situations with stakeholders for Level III
Up to 75% travel is required
