Responsibilities
Monitors, reviews and confirms daily quality performance of assigned Production Lines
Tracks in-process defects of assigned lines and identifies improvement activities to reduce and/or eliminate target defects
Investigate Quality problems / concerns of the OEM assigned
Analyze and investigate root cause Quality issues of the assigned OEM
Assist in developing robust countermeasures for in-house and OEM Quality issues by Leading root cause analysis using tools such as 5 why, fishbone, DOE, & SPC
Compile analysis report, report to OEM and track status to closure
Assist in establishing and developing manufacturing operation procedures, equipment procedures, Daily check items, and other documentation of procedures for assembly processes
Report on OEM Quality issues to management
Creates, maintains, and improves PFMEA, Process Quality Control Plan, and all associated documents
Supports and communications with all departments to identify potential quality concerns and improvement activities
Support APQP/PPAP activities
Perform process capability studies
Analyze defects related to soldering, SMT processes, components, ESD & functional testing
Support validation testing and failure analysis
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework & warranty risks
Qualification
Required
Quality Engineering Technologist – HS, GED, or technical certificate plus 3-5 years' experience
Quality Engineer - Engineering Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
Minimum 5-7 years' experience in Electronics manufacturing and demonstrated applicable engineering skills
Good Communication and Computer Skills
Experience may be substitution for degree
Experience in Microsoft office computer programs
Travel as needed, including potentially international
