Responsibilities

Assist with the structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber waterfront structures
Support the development of engineering calculations, design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates under senior engineer supervision
Participate in inspections, condition assessments, and rehabilitation efforts for port and marine structures
Perform field investigations and assist with inspections throughout the U.S. and Caribbean
Prepare technical documentation and inspection reports based on field observations and findings
Conduct design reviews and quality checks in accordance with internal quality standards and best practices
Support the resolution of design challenges through analysis, coordination, and detailed review of engineering work
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project execution
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
U.S. Citizenship required to meet federal inspection guidelines
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
Ability to manage deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team setting
Proficient in Microsoft Office and related engineering tools
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as the project needs require

Preferred

Internship, co-op, or early-career experience in a collaborative engineering environment preferred
