The Staff Accountant will be responsible for overseeing accounting processes, maintaining transaction records, and ensuring accurate month-end closings.

Responsibilities
Assist in day-to-day banking operations updating in excel, reports
Reconcile bank statements and assist with Month-end close process
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining and recording records of transactions
Analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures
Credit card coding and reconciliation with invoices/receipts
Prepare documents for audits other financial-related duties as needed
Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
Ensures organization's internal controls are adhered to for A/P and A/R
Prepare and file sales & property tax as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
3+ years of accounting experience
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Thorough knowledge of Financial Statements and their components
Experience with manual reconciliations and journal entries
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, strict confidentiality
Excellent use of Microsoft Office products
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
