Lead IT Support Technician
Wedgewood is the nation’s largest and most trusted provider of compounded veterinary medications, and they are seeking a Lead IT Support Technician to provide front-line technical support to end users. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues while managing IT service requests and supporting onboarding processes.

Responsibilities
Answer and evaluate incoming service tickets and in person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with desktop hardware, software, networking, and other computer related technologies. Handle assigned work requests according to designated goals and objectives
Trouble IT and related end-user issues related to network access (Active Directory), Desktop Systems (Hardware, Software, Connectivity, Servers, Network Devices, file share and print services and desktop security
Actively build trust with customer base and IT by providing professional, prompt, and courteous end user assistance for all computing devices and applications
Lead and actively participate in root cause investigations related to major service disruptions partnering with technical experts while handling problem recognition, research, isolation, and follow-up for user issues
Work closely with IT manager and other company leadership to collaborate on requests and future state models
Proven point of contact for IT issue resolution within Desktop Team
Review and edit all IT Team SOPs submitted by IT Support Technicians before publishing to IT Knowledge Base repository
Manage full life cycle of IT service requests assigned ticket documentation, customer interaction and working with other support teams to resolve needs
Handle IT on boarding process for new users and complete incoming New Hire forms (NAF) as assigned
Complete incoming Active Directory changes for current employees
Troubleshoot and replace hardware, hard drives, memory, and other networking peripherals. Image, repair, and deploy PC systems and iPads to end users/labs
Install, configure, and support copiers, fax applications, printers, scanners, and miscellaneous peripheral hardware
Support the development, documentation and maintenance of internal procedures for the purpose of maintaining a standard computing environment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
5+ years experience and deep knowledge of Desktop Support in a manufacturing and warehouse setting
Experience in hardware and software installing network devices and troubleshooting, connectivity and security - Desktop and Laptop
Hands-on experience with Windows 10, Office365, and basic networking, with familiarity in Active Directory and Apple device support
Experience with IT ticketing systems and PC imaging software
Basic IP networking knowledge and troubleshooting experience
Experience configuring and installing applications to Apple devices such as iPads and iPhones
Preferred
Associate Degree or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or A+ certification
