Leon Financial, LLC is seeking a senior-level, proven Senior Director, Multifamily Credit Originations to join our institutional credit platform focused on sourcing and executing higher-yield multifamily debt and structured credit investments across the United States. This role is designed for a top-tier multifamily producer responsible for originating proprietary and semi-proprietary multifamily credit opportunities that meet Leon Financial’s return objectives and risk parameters.

Responsibilities

Independently originate multifamily credit transactions across a range of property types and strategies, including market-rate, value-add, transitional, and specialized multifamily assets
Source transactions through long-standing, personal relationships with: Multifamily sponsors and operators, Developers and owners, Capital markets intermediaries, Brokers and advisory firms
Structure and execute a variety of multifamily credit solutions, including: Senior secured loans, Mezzanine debt, Preferred equity, Untranched and structured credit investments, Recapitalizations and complex capital stacks
Own the origination process end-to-end: Initial sourcing and deal screening, Structuring and term sheet negotiation, Coordination with underwriting, legal, and investment teams, Credit committee materials and closing execution
Maintain a consistent pipeline of institutional-quality multifamily opportunities aligned with target risk-adjusted returns
Act as a market representative of Leon Financial with sponsors, intermediaries, and industry participants

Required

10–20+ years of direct multifamily credit origination experience with a verifiable history of closed transactions
Demonstrated track record as a high-volume multifamily producer, not an emerging originator
Prior experience originating multifamily credit at one or more of the following: Multifamily private credit funds, Real estate debt funds, Investment managers, Institutional or specialty lenders
Established personal relationships that generate repeatable, proprietary multifamily deal flow
Proven ability to independently source, structure, negotiate, and close complex multifamily transactions
Strong credit judgment with hands-on experience across multifamily capital stacks
Comfortable operating with minimal oversight
High accountability
Performance-driven expectations
Bachelor's degree required
