Responsibilities
Oversee the Accounting Department, including supervising and delegating department staff
Monitoring and enforcing Company policies and procedures
Monthly/Quarterly close that including review AR/AP/Inventory and all schedule
Analysis and identify slow moving and determine sufficiency of inventory reserve/AR reserve
Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Assisting with preparing forecast and monitoring budgets
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report; lead the audit process by reviewing and providing information to external auditors
Review journal entries prepared by accounting team for appropriateness
Ability to research and analyze accounting transactions for proper treatment under U.S. GAAP, including researching appropriate literature, perform analysis, write-up of findings, arrive at appropriate conclusion, and preparing support to record the transaction in the general ledger
Monitor and lead the quarterly and year-end close process to ensure timely close of the Company’s financial statements
Prepare and assist for the filing of quarterly (10-Q) and annual reports (10-K) with the SEC
Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions etc
Other related functions as necessary
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance and/or accounting
3-5 years of experience, with 2-3 years in a management position overseeing accounting staff and 1-2 years of public accounting experience
Solid understanding of inventory cost accounting, including standard costing
Understanding and application of ASC 718, Stock-based compensation, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, ASC 842 Lease Accounting
Experience with consolidating financial statements
Experience drafting financial statements with applicable disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Experience with analyzing accounting transactions by researching accounting literature and arriving at appropriate conclusion
Experience preparing and reviewing supporting schedules for quarterly and annual filings with the SEC
