Process Engineer

Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Analyze existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to increase productivity and reduce waste
System Design: Develop, configure, and upgrade industrial systems and equipment for new or modified processes
Data & Simulation: Use process simulations (e.g., HYSYS) and interpret plant/lab data to evaluate performance and troubleshoot issues
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documents, process flow diagrams (P&IDs), and best practice guidelines
Collaboration: Work with production, quality control, and other engineering disciplines (like instrumentation)
Safety & Compliance: Ensure processes meet safety standards and environmental regulations, creating safety guidelines
Maintenance Planning: Plan and execute maintenance schedules and activities based on dynamic plant demands and specific equipment requirements
Maintenance Coverage: Provide necessary maintenance cover throughout the working day and be available for on-call or out-of-hours work as needed to support critical plant operations
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required
Proficiency in process simulation software, data analysis tools, and CAD software is essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address process issues effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and present findings
Preferred
Relevant experience in process engineering or a similar role, often 3-5 years, is preferred
