UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group is seeking a Controller to join their client’s team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on accounting leader responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting operational teams.

Responsibilities

Maintain accuracy of the general ledger, cost centers, and job cost systems
Support monthly close activities, including journal entries and bank reconciliations
Oversee and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury-related activities
Assist with inventory reconciliations and annual audit preparation
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and Work in Progress (WIP) reports
Manage job cost entries, contract schedules, and percentage-of-completion calculations
Support forecasting efforts and collaborate with project and group managers
Provide financial analysis and accounting system support to senior leadership
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and operational information
Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

Required

Strong understanding of GAAP and controller-level accounting fundamentals
Experience with job costing, contract accounting, and percentage-of-completion reporting
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis
Experience preparing and analyzing WIP and backlog reports
Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
Familiarity with audit processes and working with external auditors
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
