Confidential company is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee financial operations. The role involves managing the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, as well as leading the accounting team and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Responsibilities

Manage routine functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

Oversee project tracking and job cost accounting

Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

Conduct audits and prepare local tax returns

Document, monitor, and update accounting policies and procedures

Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis, including detailed assessments of general ledger activity and cash projections

Oversee daily accounting operations and manage vendor payments efficiently

Review quarterly and annual budgets for all departments and communicate variances

Maintain and update inventory systems

Analyze costs and profits, setting and tracking financial KPIs

Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations

Identify issues in product costs, develop solutions, and implement action steps for improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Capacity to handle sensitive information confidentially
