Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments
Oversee monthly AP close, including account reconciliations, accruals, and reporting
Review and approve staff work, ensuring adherence to company policies, US GAAP, and SOX requirements
Manage vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies with internal departments and external partners
Monitor and reconcile vendor accounts, purchase orders, and invoices to maintain accurate records
Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and workflow efficiencies
Prepare AP metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management reporting
Support technology upgrades, ERP implementations, and financial process reviews
Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance
Collaborate with client services and accounting teams on vendor onboarding and client-related payables
Qualification
Required
Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Customer-service mindset with strong attention to detail
Strong understanding of AP systems, workflows, and ERP platforms
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–7+ years of progressive AP experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
Preferred
Experience in high-volume, service-based, or shared services environments
