2026-2027 Yearlong Business Development Intern

Chicago Transit Authority is the second largest transit system in the country! They are seeking a Business Development Intern to assist in processing revenue-generating assets, analyzing trends, and managing projects within the Revenue and Fare Systems department.

Responsibilities

Process and understand the revenue-generating assets that the department oversees, look for trends, and develop creative ways to generate more revenue
Become knowledgeable of the eBuilder program used to manage revenue generating projects, including billboards and digital screen installation
Own the Master Asset List for the department, ensure updates are made and address any challenges with vendors that arise

Required

Required enrollment status: Full-time (as defined by your academic institution) in a degree program at an accredited college or university
Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Proficient project management skills
The demands associated with the normal office environment
Must be able to comply with office policy to work on-site twice per week
Light physical activity, including walking outdoors and climbing stairs
Comfortable with riding public transportation as this position will require field work and riding the system and visiting stations all over Chicago

Preferred Level of Education: College sophomore and above
