Responsibilities

The Data Modeler role works with stakeholders across technology and product teams to build the data model for the enterprise data warehouse and analytics needs across areas such areas as Underwriting, Claims, Finance, etc
Typically Reports to System Architect or above

Qualification

Data modeling experiencePropertyCasualty InsuranceEnterprise data modeling toolsDatabase platforms knowledgeData lake experienceETL processes understandingAnalytical skillsCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

8+ years of data modeling experience with expertise in relational and/or dimensional analysis
Experience in Insurance Industry, preferably in Property and Casualty Insurance
Deep understanding of data modeling principles and architecture concepts
Knowledge of different database platforms (relational and NoSQL)
Experience with enterprise data modeling tools such as ERWIN
3+ years of experience in a data lake environment
Experience with database technologies such as GCP Big Query, PostgreSQL, IICS, Composer, Github etc
Understanding of ETL processes to load large data warehouses
Ability to work as an individual contributor
Strong communication and collaborative skills to work with agile teams in articulating the model and guiding the development
Advanced analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve complex situations and issues
