Director Strategic Portfolio Planning
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a Director of Strategic Portfolio Planning to shape and execute the strategic direction of the organization. This leadership role involves collaborating with senior leadership and managing a team to drive key initiatives that support organizational growth and innovation.

Responsibilities
Develop and refine the organization's strategic plan, in collaboration with senior leadership, to set clear objectives, priorities, and performance metrics
Identify and assess potential strategic initiatives, projects, and partnerships that align with the organization's strategic goals
Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
Anticipate potential challenges and risks associated with strategic initiatives and develop proactive mitigation plans
Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, board members, partners, and industry influencers
Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, measure progress, and adjust strategies as needed
Optimize resource allocation by identifying and prioritizing high-impact initiatives and allocating budgets and personnel accordingly
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Required
At least eight (8) years of progressive leadership experience in strategic planning, project management, or a related role. Prior experience in a director-level position is highly desirable
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically, develop a vision, and translate it into actionable plans
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to various stakeholders
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
Collaboration: Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage ambiguity
Visionary Perspective: A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate future opportunities and challenges
Results-Driven: A commitment to achieving measurable results and a track record of success in driving organizational growth
Demonstrated experience managing client engagement model between DTS and internal client departments, with primary objective to build and maintain productive working relationships with client departments (Required proficiency)
Demonstrated experience managing senior partnering relationships with various types of organizations (Required proficiency)
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships at the enterprise level and to understand implications to the company and its business environment, including the ability to understand highly complex business initiatives/drivers (Required proficiency)
Demonstrated ability to understand impacts to strategic plans that will drive business decisions, changes to the business environments, influence technology solutions, organizational cultures, and business relationships (Required proficiency)
Demonstrated knowledge of technology products and services that meet business needs, and ability to effectively advise and influence customer choices for products/services (Required proficiency)
Understand and comply with all enterprise and DTS departmental information security policies, procedures and standards. (Required proficiency)
Support the integration of information security in the development, design, and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process, transmit, or store CHOP information. (Required proficiency)
Support all compliance activities related to state, federal regulatory requirements, healthcare accreditation standards, and all other applicable regulations that govern the use and disclosure of patient, financial, or other confidential information. (Required proficiency)

Master's Degree Preferred
Project Management: Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex initiatives
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to use data to inform decision-making
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry and market trends relevant to the organization's mission and goals
Project Management Certification (PMP) - Project Management Institute - upon hire - Preferred
