Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead across core products, owning system architecture, code quality, and engineering best practices
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and performant SaaS solutions
Remain highly hands-on, contributing significant production code across the stack
Lead technical modernization efforts, including refactoring legacy systems and introducing modern frameworks, patterns, and tooling
Collaborate closely with Product and Design to translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions
Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing
Help define engineering standards, development workflows, and documentation to improve team efficiency
Drive adoption of cloud-native and AI-assisted solutions to improve platform capabilities and developer productivity
Support hiring efforts, onboarding, and technical interviewing as the team grows
Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues across the platform
Qualification
Required
7–10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep hands-on development expertise
Proven experience leading technical architecture and complex systems in a SaaS environment
Strong proficiency in .NET/C#, modern JavaScript frameworks, and API-driven architectures
Experience working in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
Comfortable working across the full stack and guiding others toward full-stack development
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical debt, delivery timelines, and long-term scalability
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a distributed, remote-first team
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred
Experience modernizing legacy applications is strongly preferred
SaaS experience in interior design, architecture, professional services, or financial systems is a plus
Experience in private equity–backed or growth-stage companies is a plus
US-based remote role with East Coast time zone preference
