Responsibilities

Collaborate with university departments to assess procurement needs and craft solicitations that meet end user requirements
Lead supplier evaluations and contract negotiations to secure optimal results for Purdue
Support departments through the transition from sourcing to contract management, ensuring clear communication and effective execution
Apply strategic thinking, market insight, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver sustainable procurement solutions

Required

BA/BS
Four (4) or more years of experience in business management, finance, procurement, supply chain management or related field
equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
Experience within a public or private procurement program
Experience using an enterprise procurement system
organization, problem solving and negotiation skills

presentation, verbal and written communication skills
Possesses and demonstrates the ability to learn the policies, procedures, and execution strategy for multiple solicitation methods
