Lead Mechanic - Interiors

Responsibilities
Ensures all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines and company policies
Reviews required customer and FAA paperwork to ensure proper maintenance updates and compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements
Leads the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, or approve and return to service, any aircraft, or part thereof, only for which that Lead is rated and has satisfactorily performed the work concerned at an earlier date
Performs maintenance tasks as required and becomes an active member of the crew
Conducts crew meetings to ensure communication regarding work, safety, and quality
Uses technical data to order parts and ensure material is effective for aircraft being installed on. Ensures all parts for specialty area are ordered in a timely manner
Ensures Engineering is submitted in timely manner as needed
Responsible for keeping all assigned areas clean and audit ready. Identifies and eliminates hazards that pose a risk to employee safety and quality of work. Ensures compliance with safety requirements
Responsible for on-time delivery in assigned skill set in coordination with other skill sets
Monitors and corrects routine and non-routine labor hours prior to exceeding allotted estimated hours
Notifies Supervisor of variations in labor requirements to ensure most efficient utilization of labor and resources and to avoid LOW when possible
Answers questions from customers as needed
Responsible for setting timeframe expectations with technicians on task card accomplishment
Oversees On-the-Job Training (OJT) to provide learning opportunities through work assignment and mentoring
Recommends changes to processes to improve efficiencies and workflow
Complies with, communicates, and provides guidance to team members on ATS policies, procedures and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Promotes "Balanced Technician" concept
Mentors and develops technical and leadership skills of the mechanics
Communicates with Supervisor all information on assigned employees including disciplinary problems. May deliver or give input with performance evaluations on assigned employees
Provides regular feedback and performance coaching including appropriate management of time, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring proper knowledge and training to accomplish assignments to all members of assigned crew
Qualification
Required
Minimum of four (4) years' recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO experience preferred
Applicable Repairman, Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required
