Responsibilities

Establishing, communicating, and realizing the value of Lilly therapeutics as well as the mission and purpose of Neuroscience business unit
Developing and maintaining deep healthcare and marketplace relationships and expertise in Neuroscience across multiple customer segments
Securing favorable formulary access and optimal product availability for the entire Lilly Neuroscience portfolio, with direct contracting relationships where applicable
Collaborating across Team Lilly overlaps and key Lilly business partners to strategically manage assigned accounts
Engaging directly with system stakeholders to understand their challenges, needs, and opportunities
Helping convey how Lilly brands can meet the healthcare needs of providers, their patients, and other stakeholders
Serving as a clinical expert in the Neuroscience business unit for targeted accounts
Developing and executing a Strategic Account Management (SAM) strategy for targeted accounts
Coordinating SAM strategy with Team Lilly overlaps and leveraging SAM skills to execute brand strategies
Partnering appropriately and effectively with Lilly Medical and Health Outcomes colleagues
Establishing proficiency in Health Care Organizations, including understanding provider delivery models, processes, and procedures influencing access to Lilly products
Maintaining a deep understanding of patient, product, and financial flow in targeted Health Care Organization (HCO) and Organized Medical Group (OMG) accounts
Identifying customer-focused initiatives to enhance Lilly’s brand equity in partnership with key customers across segments
Driving awareness and understanding of appropriate product use in future clinical care/diagnostic needs, including pre-approval information exchanges
Discussing clinical outcomes at a population health level to shape and optimize care pathways
Engaging in Neuroscience-specific initiatives to drive better patient outcomes at scale
Identifying opportunities for product and disease state education for prescribers and support staff
Ensuring operational readiness for product launch
Advocating on behalf of patients as a clinical expert; negotiating for and securing formulary placement
Ensuring appropriate access to Lilly products in all health system pharmacy channels
Conducting analyses on product and market trends, including patient flow and continuum of care
Driving demand realization
Supporting access to Lilly products in accounts with limited sales representative access
Implementing strategic initiatives directed by Neuroscience and brand strategy
Demonstrating essential traits including professionalism, the ability to build trusting relationships, and the ability to communicate in a compelling manner
Ensuring all actions align 100% with company compliance policies and procedures
Establishing key relationships with a broad range of customers at prioritized accounts
Removing barriers to delivering timely, exceptional customer experiences
Participating in appropriate state and/or local trade organizations to ensure Lilly’s presence and represent its interests
Identifying opportunities to drive improved patient outcomes in a healthcare ecosystem
Maximizing state-of-the-art environmental awareness for business impact
Leveraging an enterprise-ownership mindset
Optimizing strategic collaborations to shape patient-focused, innovative solutions
Championing initiatives that drive meaningful advances in consumer experience
Utilizing Lilly field tools and technology

Required

Bachelor's degree
Professional certification or license required to perform in this position if required by a specific state
Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record are required
Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role
Previous Account Management (SAM) or relevant LVA experience
Previous Lilly experience as a Business Director
M3/P5 level with relevant LVA experience
Broad knowledge of the healthcare delivery landscape
Experience and working knowledge of competitive interventions in the integrated healthcare marketplace
Demonstrated learning agility, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated leadership and relationship-building, including cross-functional teamwork skills and the ability to influence
Strong verbal and written communication and group presentation skills

Preferred

No compliance violations in the last two years
Direct access to a major airport is preferred
Candidates should be open to relocation; exceptions require Sr. VP BU approval
