Training & Development Program Manager
Chicago Jobs Council (CJC) is a workforce development intermediary focused on jobseekers. The Training and Development Program Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs for workforce development providers, including facilitation, curriculum development, and project management.

Responsibilities
Facilitation: Design, develop, and implement training programs based on workforce development best practices. Facilitate training sessions for frontline staff and workforce development professionals. Recruit and collaborate with guest speakers, content experts, and external consultants to enhance training delivery
Curriculum Development: Revise and update existing training curricula to incorporate emerging best practices and stakeholder feedback. Create experiential, hands-on learning activities tailored to adult learners. Develop written resources, tools, and materials to support training initiatives
Leadership: Lead and facilitate Communities of Practice. Collaborate with subject matter experts, external facilitators and content providers to align curriculum and programming goals. Recruit and onboard external facilitators who uphold the mission and values of CJC
Supervision: Supervise program coordinators and fellows/interns, as needed. Provide mentorship and support for other CJC staff who are part of the team responsible for implementing programming. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure program success
Project Management: Manage the public, customized and cohort learning training programs, which includes curriculum development, training facilitation, communication coordination, material preparation, and follow-up; plus creating agendas and preparing for various stakeholder meetings
Technical Assistance: Provide ongoing technical assistance and support to workforce development providers, administrators and other stakeholders. Respond to information requests and offer guidance on training-related inquiries
Marketing: Collaborate with the Strategic Communications Specialist to develop and implement a marketing plan to recruit participants for training programs, including co-authoring promotional blog posts
Data Collection & Evaluation: Design and implement tools for evaluating training effectiveness. Collect and analyze data to monitor and assess training goals and outcomes
Administration: Responsible for administrative tasks related to programming and delegating appropriate tasks to the program coordinator. Prepare grant reports and other data reporting documentation, as required. Participate in stakeholder meetings to engage stakeholders and partners to learn about what workforce professionals need to build capacity in their role and at their organization

Proficiency with G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), Zoom, Asana, web-based survey tools, online database, and website management
In-depth knowledge of public policies and programs affecting people in poverty, particularly in workforce development
3-5 years of experience in adult training, teaching, or facilitation, including train-the-trainer experience
Experience managing workforce development programs or initiatives, including grants management
Expertise in curriculum development, including research and writing
Successful experience in meeting/event planning and project management
Minimum 5-7 years of related experience
Preferred
Post-secondary credential preferred; degrees or certifications in education, training, counseling, or social work are highly desirable
