Responsibilities
Lead legal efforts on M&A and project finance transactions, partnering with external counsel and cross-functional teams
Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts and development agreements
Support real estate transactions for power generation and renewable energy projects (leases, easements, purchase & sale agreements, etc.)
Advise on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues within the power and energy landscape
Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping shape strategy and mitigate risk
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in at least one state bar
5+ years of legal experience in project finance, energy M&A, real estate, or project development — ideally with at least 2 years in-house
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
A pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills
Preferred
Experience in the renewable energy industry or gas-fired generation is a plus
