Responsibilities
Conduct analysis on alerts originating from SIEM, EDR, IPS/IDS, and other security utilities
Analyze emerging threats and vulnerabilities for risk posed to the organization
Develop and curate security best practices
Maintain awareness of cyber security and technology trends to provide recommendations as appropriate
Create and conduct annual and recurring security awareness training
Conduct security assessments and risk analysis to identify issues not identified through utilities that could lead to system compromise or lost/stolen data
Conduct periodic access reviews and enforce privileged access controls
Automate evidence collection, alert enrichment, and reporting
Build internal tools or scripts to reduce manual effort and improve response times
Provide security consultations for new products, projects, and architectural changes
Deliver training or guidance to employees on secure practices and technologies
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in a role requiring incident analysis, security research, security operations, or similar
1+ years of experiencing utilizing critical tools used in security operations and security event analysis
Understanding security controls for common platforms and devices
Hands-on experience with common security tools (EDR, SIEM, IAM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, etc.)
Familiarity with PCI-DSS and SOC 2 standards
Vulnerability and Risk Assessment
Digital Forensics and Incident Response
Relevant certifications (e.g., Sec+, CYSA+, Azure/AWS security specialty)
