Military DoD SkillBridge Internship - Ops Leader

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational leadership and management focused towards the achievement of assigned goals with respect to EHS, Quality, Cost, OTD, manpower and Compliance
Promote a Safe culture whilst delivering the highest Quality products to maintain our airworthiness requirements
Work cross-functionally to resolve near-term manufacturing challenges and mitigate the risk they present to meeting our Customer commitments
Ensure communication of key business and customer information to your personnel and inspire them to achieve the highest levels of output
Actively encourage the flow of Continuous Improvement ideas from your team to identify cost out and process improvement opportunities – act decisively and provide timely feedback with the information you receive from your team
Identify production constraints and bottlenecks, then assist in developing business continuity plans to mitigate the identified risks
Support the Operation and Value Stream Leaders in delivering the strategic plans for manpower, equipment and other resources within the business
Apply Lean methods (5S, visual management, one‑piece flow)
Ensure a feasible cell production plan aligned to KPI targets; coordinate with Purchasing and Material Planning on materials and schedules; provide weekly capacity/constraint signals and escalate gaps
